The Denver Botanic Gardens is a stunning oasis located in the heart of Denver. Spanning 24 acres, this urban botanical sanctuary offers visitors a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Regular admission was $10 per person when we visited.
The gardens are meticulously designed and meticulously maintained, featuring a diverse array of plant species from around the world. With themed gardens, such as the Japanese Garden, the Rock Alpine Garden, and the Romantic Gardens, visitors can explore different horticultural landscapes and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Strolling along winding pathways, visitors can enjoy the vibrant colors, fragrant blooms, and peaceful ambiance that the gardens offer throughout the year.
The Denver Botanic Gardens also boasts impressive architectural features and captivating art installations. The iconic Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory is a must-visit, housing a lush tropical rainforest that transports visitors to exotic locales. The facility also includes a solar-powered amphitheater, where visitors can attend concerts, performances, and outdoor film screenings.
Union Station
Union Station is a historic landmark and transportation hub located in downtown Denver. We saw all kinds of interesting people there! Just beware, there’s also a good amount of homeless people roaming the area.

International Church of Cannabis
The International Church of Cannabis is a unique and unconventional spiritual community. Founded in 2017, this vibrant and colorful church welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs to gather and explore spirituality through the lens of cannabis.
The church’s building, a former Lutheran church, has been transformed into a visually stunning space adorned with vibrant murals that depict psychedelic and spiritual themes. Inside, visitors will find a serene and inviting atmosphere where they can engage in meditation, reflection, and communal worship.
The church’s mission is centered around the belief that cannabis can be a sacrament that facilitates spiritual exploration, creativity, and connection. While cannabis consumption is permitted within the church’s designated areas, it is important to note that the church does not promote or endorse illegal activities or excessive use.
