About one hour southeast of Denver is Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods
We only had time to check out Garden of the Gods. The one hour drive from Denver for a day-trip was worth it. Admission to Garden of the Gods is free, and parking is free. Stop by the visitor center to get directions on how to get to the main entrance of the canyon and the Balanced Rock found at the end of the trail.

Outlets at Castle Rock
The Outlets at Castle Rock is an outlet shopping mall located in Castle Rock, Colorado, just south of Denver. Located off Interstate 25, the Outlets at Castle Rock is easily accessible on our way from Colorado Springs back to Denver.
Spanning over 100 stores, this outdoor mall has a wide selection of brand-name and designer retailers. Visitors can browse through a wide range of stores, including high-end fashion brands, sportswear, accessories, home goods, and more.
We did a quick stop for Lulu Lemon and it was the only store we visited. There was a huge selection at Lulu, so if you’re in the area and a fan of Lulu, it’s worth checking out!
